Based on our very unscientific and somewhat random poll about the 5 biggest challenges working in an alternative workstyle, distractions are the biggest challenge. Of course this begs the question, what exactly are these distractions? So let’s vote again! Good to know I’m not the only one waylaid by emails. Much easier to turn email off completely when involved in major projects. However, it is much harder to ignore on a daily basis.

I think I revealed myself by putting email at the top! I just read about someone who zero’s out her email at the end of the workday…what a great idea – though highly unattainable for me…

I, too, voted for email as the biggest distraction — but another one is the weather. It’s difficult to stay put at your computer when it’s gorgeous outside!
