ETMG has run a virtual company for over 14 years now and we have been very successful. I love working virtually!

I do Arbonne from home which is simply awesome – I love what I do. I would say the two greatest challenges are discipline (getting done what you know you should be doing) and Overwhelming Communication (I communicate with my team of 200 via facebook which is working better than email, but still overwhelming).

Wow! 200 to organize via FB? That’s impressive!

I think collaboration can be more difficult–partly because communication is sometimes more fragmented. I just had to make changes to a job because I missed out on a step in the cycle that my client did internally and didn’t tell me about. The benefits also stink big time! And inconsistent revenue can be tough. Still, I like the variety. I love always learning new things about new clients. And the flexibility can be fun. The lack of commute and relaxed dress code are minor, but pleasant perks as well.
